Toys for Tots 2004

Several SEMIWW members worked long and hard to build and donate toys for the Toys for Tots organization for the 2004 holiday season. Our goal was to donate 50 toys, and we exceeded that goal with 65 toys that surely brightened Christmas morning for some disadvantaged local kids.

Here are the toys we submitted (Jim Hinze donated 4 jet planes that did not make this pic):

And here is the crew that made all that stuff (Jim Hinze is missing from the pic):

  • Jeff made the shellaced helicopters.
  • Jim made the smaller trucks.
  • Dave and Chip made the white/red helicopters.
  • Chris made the puzzles and dinosaurs (& Sherri painted the puzzles).
  • Matt and Kevin made the big trucks.
  • Clay made the grasshoppers and his wife donated the stuffed animals.
  • Jim made white jet planes (not in this pic).

There was an article in the local paper that talked about how successful the 2004 Toys for Tots drive was. Here’s a link to that article: link
